This violin comes from a luthier's estate. It's German, unlabeled, but was probably made around the late 19th century, c. 1875 or so. The chin rest has stamped "Patd. Feb 23 1875 C. F. Albert." The violin is in great condition for it's age. There are no cracks or separations but at some point the scroll was cheeked (see pictures of scroll). Violin measures 23" long. This violin is ready to play. The sound is very deep and powerful.
